Children's Acute Partial Hospitalization Program

This intensive, short-term, 15-day therapeutic program is designed for children and teens ages 5-18 who are experiencing a behavioral, emotional, or psychiatric challenge. Acute PHP is intended for children and youth as a step down from inpatient care or as a means of preventing inpatient hospitalization. Clients can receive Acute PHP services up to the age of 21 if they are in school and have an IEP.

The Acute PHP is not an alternative educational placement, but rather a short-term, intensive behavioral health program, the goal of which is to provide short-term symptom stabilization.

  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management
  • Group, individual and family therapy
  • One hour of education daily
