Kids on the Block Puppet Troupe

Kids on the Block Puppet Troupe | Barber National Institute

The Kids on the Block is a troupe of very likable puppets, with and without disabilities, designed to teach children about differences and similarities in people. The puppets have been used in classrooms all over the country. Our group of puppets includes individuals who have Down Syndrome, Hearing and Visual Deficits, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, ADHD, Epilepsy, and Learning Disabilities.

The best part of the performance is that people, both children and adults, can learn from each of the Kids on the Block. They can learn an attitude of understanding, warm, and sensitivity that will serve them well for the rest of their lives.

This program is offered free of charge to schools and any other community organizations.

The Kids on the Block will not be presenting any-in person puppet shows due to restrictions relating to Covid-19. If you are interested in scheduling a virtual show for a school or other group, please contact Shayla Andrews at 814-806-6408.
