Camp Shamrock - Youth Summer Program in Erie, PA

Camp Shamrock will be held: June 24 through August 2, 2019

As a result of circumstances related to the Covid-19 epidemic, we regret that Camp Shamrock will not be held in Summer 2020. We will miss our campers and camp staff and hope you stay safe and healthy and look forward to being together again.

Camp Shamrock is a six-week summer recreation day camp for children ages 5 to 21 years with autism and intellectual disabilities. Camp activities include, but are not limited to, field trips, pool and gym time, games, arts & crafts and a talent show! Camp Shamrock is staffed with a team that consists of a site supervisor, recreation leaders, recreation aides, and certified pool instructors.

Camp Shamrock

Camp Shamrock is held at the Barber National Institute Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. This is a recreational summer camp. If assistance is needed to support physical, medical and/or behavioral needs, an aide, Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) or nurse must be present at all times with your camper. Our main priority is the safety of the campers.

Campers can attend the program for any part of the session but must attend at least one full week. Applications will be accepted based on whether the camp is an appropriate match for the camper. There are limited spaces available. Families will be notified of their acceptance. Camp Shamrock is an allowable service of Family Support Services, Agency with Choice, or private pay.
