Priester to Present Workshop in Pittsburgh

The October Workshop sponsored by the Autism Connection of PA will feature a presentation by Cindy Priester, MS, OTR/L, Educational Program Coordinator for the Elizabeth Lee Black School.  The program, "Handwriting in the Raw: Steps from Sensory to Cursive,” will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 1-3:15 p.m.  in the Autism Connection of PA Community Education Room, 35 Wilson Street, Suite 101, in Etna, PA.

Participants will learn about fine motor and perceptual skills and how they affect student success.  Strategies will be provided to improve handwriting, classroom tool use and worksheet management. Participants will each receive fine and gross motor strategies which will include ideas to use throughout the school year.


Cindy began her career with the Barber Institute more than 30 years ago as an occupational therapist. She received a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from State University of New York at Buffalo and received her Master’s in Special Education Summa Cum Laude at Madison University.
