Seniors Get Creative
Through the Lakeside Senior Center of the Barber National Institute, individuals learn functional skills while incorporating problem solving and communication into each activity. Communication skills are taught through choice of subject matter, color, shape, pattern and texture.
Individuals are taught functional skills such as:

- Wood working
- Hand rolling and shaping clay
The Barber National Insitute's Lakeside Senior Center offers of a wide selection of arts and crafts activities for seniors with developmental disabilities so they have an opportunity to socialize and enhance functional skills.
