A Musical Petting Zoo with the Erie Chamber Orchestra was so successful when it was held last May that the organization has now planned monthly sessions with our students and faculty.

An award for Service to the Community was presented to the Barber National Institute during the second annual Commitment To Erie Awards at the Ambassador Hotel on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The Norbert H. Hardner Foundation recently donated $15,000 to the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Foundation for technology advances at the Elizabeth Lee Black School (ELBS). The Barber Beast was a guest at the annual summer picnic sponsored by the Girard Parent Group. The event brings together adults who attend programs on the Girard Campus, as well as staff and parents.
