Families Enjoy Special

Parents of children with special needs had the opportunity for their children to have a more relaxing, less stimulating time with Santa on Sunday at Autism-Friendly Time with Santa in the Millcreek Mall. Music was turned off and the event was held at non-typical hours, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in order to accomodate the needs of each individual.

Parents received a number to be called when it was their child’s turn to see Santa. While they waited, we offered free holiday crafts and face painting for children. For those who wanted to capture that special moment with Santa, a $2 off coupon was given to each parent.

The event went well and gave parents a stress-free way for their child to see Santa. To see some pictures from the event, visit https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152051987792398.1073741847.155737872397&type=1
