The Pennsylvania Dept. of Public Welfare has formally approved Connections Camp for summer 2013 for children and young adolescents diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome, Pervasive Development Disorder or High-Functioning Autism. In anticipation of Autism Month in April, the Barber National Institute will host Autism Awareness Day on Saturday, March 23, from 11:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Millcreek Mall. Volunteers are needed to tutor adults in the Adult Basic Education/Adult Literacy program at the Barber National Institute.
