USA Today Features Barber National Institute Editorial
USA Today, one of the nation’s most-read online newspapers, featured a Labor Day op-ed highlighting the Barber National Institute’s successful efforts to bring employers together with adults with intellectual disabilities for meaningful jobs in the community.

We invite you to read the op-ed, Labor Day: Employers can benefit by hiring people with intellectual disabilities, authored by Gale Williams, supervisor of employment services in Philadelphia for the Barber National Institute.

In the piece, Gale shares success stories with Philadelphia's WaWa Markets and Marriott Hotels to emphasize the many benefits of hiring individuals with intellectual disabilities.

As we continue to promote supported employment, we also invite you to join us for a luncheon celebrating disability employment month on Monday, Oct. 7. Former Governor Tom Ridge, a committed advocate for employment of persons with disabilities, will be the keynote speaker. You can make your reservations now to join us for this event.

Thank you for your support of our mission and helping us continue making dreams come true for children and adults with disabilities.
