Get your child ready to ride before summer ends! "Ready, Set, Ride!," a four-week program to help children and young adults develop skills to bike independently, will be held at the Warren County YMCA, 212 Lexington Ave.

Sessions will take place on Sundays–September 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 9-10 a.m. or 10:15-11:15 a.m.

The learn-to-bike program is developed for individuals with special needs, however it is also open to any individual who is able to pedal and steer but who has not been successful in riding without training wheels. The program is ideal for youngsters with autism, Down syndrome, mild cerebral palsy, as well as sensory and behavioral issues.

The cost is $95, but may be covered through an FSS allocation; a limited number of scholarships are also available. Children should be at least seven years of age and have a bike and helmet, but a limited number may be available for use.

This program is supported by grants from the Autism Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania and the Down Syndrome Support Group.
