2017 ESO Prom

Expanding Social Opportunites (ESO) Dances have been a huge hit since then began.  ESO Dances are sponsored by the Barber National Institute for adults ages 18 and up with autism or an intellectual disability and their college aged peers. The dances are held through out the accedemic year at Edinboro, Penn State Behrend, Gannon and Mercyhurst Universities.  Friday, June 9, 2017 was the second annual ESO Prom, a finale to the fun year.  This year's theme was "Under the Sea," with over 200 adults in attendance.

"They love getting dressed up. They love having a night where it's just they get to do their hair, they get to get dressed up, the guys get to wear their tuxedos, but it has been great to see how they just shine throughout the night," said Jaclyn Zacherl, ESO Coordinator at the Barber National Institute.
