Updated Vaccine Information

---As of 7-1-2021---

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has issued the following updated information regarding vaccination availability as of July 1, 2021:

  • Anyone wanting to be vaccinated can find a vaccine provider at https://www.vaccines.gov/
  • If you need assistance finding a vaccine provider, please call 1-800-232-0233. You will need to schedule an appointment to be vaccinated with the selected provider. If you have questions about the vaccination process, call the Pennsylvania Department of Health hotline at 1-877-724-3258.
  • If you are unable to leave your home and wish to be vaccinated, please contact your HealthChoices Managed Care Organization (MCO) or local Area Agency on Aging (AAA) to coordinate your access to vaccine.
  • Individuals may also contact the ODP Customer Service Line, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at 1-888-565-9435 (TTY number: 1-866-388-1114) if they are unable to secure a vaccination through these other means.

As a reminder, Support Coordinators (SC) are instructed to continue to support individuals with ensuring vaccine access and scheduling vaccination appointments. As such, SCs should be aware of vaccine and vaccination process information.

Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) Vaccination Call Center

---As of 4-28-2021---

Pennsylvania’s Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is working to help individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism and their families/caregivers access the Covid-19 vaccine. ODP has established a Vaccination Call Center to schedule and make special arrangements to receive the vaccine at Rite Aid locations across the state.

The Vaccination Call Center is open for scheduling Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. by calling 1-800-424-4345.  Callers will be asked basic questions for registration, as well as about any accommodations they may need to receive the vaccine.

Pittsburgh Mercy is offering free Moderna COVID-19 vaccinations

Pittsburgh Mercy is offering free Moderna COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment to adults 18 years and older at its South Side Vaccination Clinic at Pittsburgh Mercy Family Health Center, 249 South 9th Street, Second Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 (South Side) on Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Appointments, masks, and physical distancing are required. The vaccine is free. Free parking is available. To schedule an appointment, or for more information, please visit the COVID-19 Vaccination webpage, or call 412-918-0631.

Vaccine Distribution*

Many UPMC sites across Pennsylvania, including Hamot Hospital in Erie, are offering vaccines.  To register, go to vaccine.upmc.com or call 844-UPMCVAC (844-876-2822) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., seven days a week.  A menu of locations is available including in the Pittsburgh, Bedford and Somerset areas.

Pittsburgh/BridgevillePittsburgh Covid Vaccine

UPMC will also be offering drive-up vaccine distribution at The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills Mall on April 14 and 15.  To schedule for this event, please call 833-0676-1995.

Erie/Northwestern PA

LECOM Institute for Successful Aging is offering COVID Vaccine Clinics in the Erie region.  LECOM is currently offering vaccines for groups 1A & 1B (which includes Barber Institute staff and individuals with disabilities.) Vaccine availability will open to groups in 1C on April 12 and then be available to the general population on April 19.

Philadelphia

The City of Philadelphia announced the opening of a new mass vaccination site located at Esperanza 4261 North 5th St.  To schedule at this site, visit
