Updated Vaccine Information

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has issued the following updated information regarding vaccination availability as of July 1, 2021:

  • Anyone wanting to be vaccinated can find a vaccine provider at https://www.vaccines.gov/
  • If you need assistance finding a vaccine provider, please call 1-800-232-0233. You will need to schedule an appointment to be vaccinated with the selected provider. If you have questions about the vaccination process, call the Pennsylvania Department of Health hotline at 1-877-724-3258.
  • If you are unable to leave your home and wish to be vaccinated, please contact your HealthChoices Managed Care Organization (MCO) or local Area Agency on Aging (AAA) to coordinate your access to the vaccine.
  • Individuals may also contact the ODP Customer Service Line, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at 1-888-565-9435 (TTY number: 1-866-388-1114) if they are unable to secure a vaccination through these other means.

As a reminder, Support Coordinators (SC) are instructed to continue to support individuals with ensuring vaccine access and scheduling vaccination appointments. As such, SCs should be aware of vaccine and vaccination process information.

Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) Vaccination Call Center

Pennsylvania’s Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is working to help individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism and their families/caregivers access the Covid-19 vaccine. ODP has established a Vaccination Call Center to schedule and make special arrangements to receive the vaccine at Rite Aid locations across the state.

The Vaccination Call Center is open for scheduling Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. by calling 1-800-424-4345.  Callers will be asked basic questions for registration, as well as about any accommodations they may need to receive the vaccine.

Vaccine Distribution

Many providers across Pennsylvania offer Covid 19 vaccines and boosters. Check for scheduling near you:

UPMC, including Hamot Hospital in Erie - to register, go to vaccine.upmc.com or call 844-UPMCVAC (844-876-2822) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., seven days a week.  A menu of locations is available including in the Erie, Pittsburgh, Bedford and Somerset areas.
