The Barber Institute’s Camp Shamrock is a summer day camp for children ages 5 to 21 years with intellectual disabilities, autism or multiple handicaps. Camp activities include field trips to the community, pool and gym time and arts & crafts. Camp Shamrock is staffed by trained Recreation Aides, Certified Pool Instructors and Professional Supervisors. A Camp Nurse is also on-site.
Camp Shamrock is held at the Barber National Institute weekdays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for six weeks during the summer, and campers can attend the program for any part of the session. Camp Shamrock is an allowable service of Family Support Services and the In-Home Waiver Program. Scholarship opportunities are available for qualifying applicants.
