The Elizabeth Lee Black School at the Barber National Institute has received the Award for Leadership and Innovation in Special Education from the National Association for Private Special Education Centers (NAPSEC.) Janine Calabrese, 27, is now part of the USA Aquatics Team, and is the first-ever athlete from Erie to qualify for the games. She learned to swim in the BNI pool.
