Christmas came early at the Barber National Institute today when Santa and Mrs. Claus visited classrooms and surprised all students with gifts selected especially for them. Crafts, games and visits with Old Saint Nick were entertaining children and families at the 6th annual Sensory Friendly Time with Santa held Dec. 4 at the Millcreek Mall. As Americans marked Giving Tuesday on Nov. 29, students and adults at the Barber National Institute were “giving back.” Awards were presented at the annual PAR Conference in October to recognize the achievements of those who have enhanced community inclusion and the quality of life for persons with disabilities.
