Cyclists representing The Center in Houston, Texas visited the Barber National Institute on Monday, July 25, as part of their 3,500-mile bike ride across the country this summer to raise funds and awareness for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Three local organizations teamed up to offer children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism a fun and valuable experience this summer. Barber Beast on the Bay was featured on WSEE and WICU showing off our brand new obstacles with event coordinator Kristin Blakely Donors who helped to fund the renovation of the gymnasium at the Barber National Institute were recently recognized with the unveiling of the updated facility.
