Job Description

Are you a responsible leader looking to make a difference?

You will supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities foster independence in Philadelphia day programs.

From training staff to assessing services for the individual, you will be working toward one goal: making sure our adults have the support they need to grow, learn and connect with others in their community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, developing and recommending individual program plans
  • Monitoring, supervising and coordinating services for the individual
  • Maintaining communication with inter-agency support staff as well as other service agencies, parents and the general public
  • Assuring parent and family involvement with individual to the greatest extent possible
  • Monitoring and supervising full- and part-time staff in assigned Community Day Programs.

Qualifications – Must meet one of the following:

  • Associate’s degree with four years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities
  • Master’s degree with one year experience working with adults with developmental disabilities

Qualifications – Must meet all of the following:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Experience with Chapter 2380  Regulations preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
