Job Description

Behavior Consultant

Enjoy a fulfilling career as a guiding force for treating children/adolescents in the Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program.

Work in collaboration with other members of a treatment team to assess behavior while monitoring and implementing individualized treatment plans. The Behavior Consultant position acts as the supervisor of each case assigned, developing, implementing and overseeing the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) while working as a consultant to caregivers, school and other community based personnel to provide behavioral protocols.

Responsibilities of Behavior Consultant include:

  • Providing consultation to the treatment team members on aspects of behavioral management
  • Ongoing development, implementation and monitoring of the child’s treatment plan
  • Identifying behavioral goals and intervention techniques
  • Transferring implemented interventions to the primary caregiver
  • Providing ongoing assessment, program design and implementation of the treatment plan to stabilize the child or adolescent
  • The clinical oversight of Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) on a case-by-case basis
  • Completing all required documentation for the individual as outlined by funding source regulations and in accordance with procedures and timelines

Qualifications:

  • Master’s level mental health clinician with background in behavior modification preferred
  • Pennsylvania BSL, BCBA LPC, LSW or LCSW preferred, but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
