SibSessions Winter Party Next Saturday

Please join us for our “Winter Party” … We’ll share the warmth of friendship with swimming, lunch, games, craft and sharing time!

“SibSessions” is a series of nine support group meetings for persons age 5 to their 16th birthday who have a brother or sister with an intellectual disability. Brothers and sisters of individuals with intellectual disabilities are sometimes caught between the outside world and the world at home. To help balance life between the two, and to provide a supportive setting for the expression of feelings and the development of new friendships, Family Support Services offers this sibling service. Time together includes lunch and may include games, crafts and sharing time along with swimming as indicated. The sessions are offered free of charge and are designed to encourage the expression of feelings and concerns, as well as the positive aspects of having an affected sibling.
