A $5,000 donation from Scott Electric in Erie, PA is brightening the future for children and adults at the Barber National Institute. The Employees Community Service Fund of General Electric recently presented a $500 donation to the Barber National Institute to fund new floatation devices and other equipment to be used by students and adults in the pool. The October Workshop sponsored by the Autism Connection of PA will feature a presentation by Cindy Priester, MS, OTR/L, Educational Program Coordinator for the Elizabeth Lee Black School. The program, "Handwriting in the Raw: Steps from Sensory to Cursive,” will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 1-3:15 p.m. in the Autism Connection of PA Community Education Room, 35 Wilson Street, Suite 101, in Etna, PA. The Erie Siebenbuerger Club has funded day-long baseball clinics with the Erie SeaWolves for children and adults in programs at the Barber National Institute. Local Siebenbuerger members donated $6,000 to provide the clinic on June 29 for adults and on June 30 for youngsters in Connections Camp, a program for children and teens with high functioning autism.Scott Electric Donates $5,000
