Cyclists representing The Center in Houston, Texas will visit the Barber National Institute as part of their 3,500-mile bike ride across the country this summer to raise funds and awareness for adults with intellectual disabilities.

Waldameer & Water World and lifeguards from the Barber National Institute will join over 500 pools and water parks in over 20 countries as a host location for the 2016 World’s Largest Swimming Lesson! For the 9th consecutive year, the Elizabeth Lee Black School has been recognized by the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) as a 2016-2017 NASET School of Excellence Expanding Social Opportunities (ESO) at the Barber National Institute and Project Prom will team up for “A Night to Remember,” a prom for adults 18 or older with intellectual disabilities.
