DSP Presents at PAR Event
Christina Nowell, a residential manager in a Barber National Institute Philadelphia group home, joined a panel of speakers presented by PAR to advocate for support of persons with intellectual disabilities. The web-based panel spoke on Tuesday, May 19 in a presentation open to media and intellectual disabilities providers across the state. The event is part of an effort to make Gov. Tom Wolf and Pennsylvania lawmakers aware of the needs of providers as allocations are being determined for the federal funding given to states in Covid-19 aid packages.

PAR, or Pennsylvania Advocacy an Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disability, represents provider organizations serving children and adults with autism or intellectual disabilities.
