Digital Learning Day February 22

Celebrate Digital Learning Day at the Barber National Insitute Main Campus Gym 11:00am-1:00pm, Thursday, February 22, 2018.

With so many new types of digital devices, educational software and mobile apps continuously developed, it’s hard to keep up with the latest and greatest advancements in educational technology. In some classrooms and out-of-school programs across the country, educators are doing some pretty amazing things with technology. Yet, these pockets of innovation are confined to a small number of schools and communities. Digital Learning Day was started as a way to actively spread innovative practices and ensure that all youth have access to high-quality digital learning opportunities no matter where they live.

Our Erie event is a school wide celebration on how we incorporate technology throughout the entire organization across all services lines for children and adults. We include along with the teachers and students work, the work that has been done with technology from the Speech therapists, occupational therapists, and behaviors specialists. We have some local colleges attend our showcase to share what they are working on with their student teachers in special education with technology. Our students get to visit the showcase with their classroom and teacher as part of their instructional day viewing how others around us are using technology in many different ways.  Download Event Flyer
