Job Description

Maintenance Worker

As the Maintenance Worker, you are a key member of our team responsible for quality repairs, remodeling, and home improvement projects. This candidate will help maintain and upkeep the Barber National Institute’s facilities, which include a day program and group homes throughout the Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Worker include:

  • Planning and developing carpentry projects including wood repair, door, window and cabinet repair.
  • Completing plumbing repairs and renovations
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance
  • Completing work and repair orders in a timely fashion

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. or more
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
