March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

The roots of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month can be traced back to 1987 when President Ronald Reagan first declared March as a month to raise awareness about including people with developmental disabilities in all facets of community life. It also highlights the difficulties that people with disabilities still face in fitting into the communities in which they live.

This month we celebrate the incredible strengths and talents of those we serve and acknowledge the families, caregivers, and professionals who dedicate themselves to providing support and encouragement.
