2009 Donations

Paul Foust, chairman of the City-County All Star Baseball Game, presented the largest donation in game history to the Barber National Institute. A check for $9,029 was presented to John Barber, president and chief executive officer of the Barber National Institute, at a news conference on May 5. The donation from the 2009 Game brings the total contribution from all of the games to more than $105,000.

“We are very proud of our long association with the Erie County Umpires Association that sponsors this event, and grateful for their support of our mission,” said Barber. “We encourage all sports fans to come and enjoy what is always a great game, and to cheer on the players from your favorite school. Your support helps ensure that Dr. Barber’s vision of hope and opportunity continues as we meet the needs of individuals and families in our community.”
