Giving Tuesday - Fund A Dream

Our adults are “giving back” on Nov. 28…. Will you?

Tuesday, Nov. 28 is Giving Tuesday, a global holiday that celebrates and encourages generosity as we embark on this season of giving.

Many of our adults will be spending the day doing what they always do – volunteering to help organizations in our community. In fact, every month our adults spend about 200 hours helping at places such as Brevillier Village, local food banks, the Humane Society and the Salvation Army. Our students are also giving back with activities such as shopping for Meals on Wheels and making book marks for the Erie County Library.

You, our donor, are helping to make all of this happen. You can Fund A Dream with a gift that supports a wide variety of services such as:

  • The Community Support Program that offers opportunities for volunteering, where adults come to understand the needs of others and learn valuable social and job readiness skills.
  • The Elizabeth Lee Black School, serving children from 22 area school districts with iPads and other technology in every classroom to tailor learning for each student.
  • The Supported Employment Program that offers job placement and training, helping more than 30 adults find community employment so far this year.

Thank you very much for funding a dream that will truly make a difference in the lives of children, adults and families in our community. When you have made a gift, please share the news by taking a picture, tagging it #GivingTuesday and #BarberFundaDream, and then sharing on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
