Job Description

Ensure adults with disabilities and their families receive the best services available to them.

You will be responsible for coordinating the provision of social services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. You will gain knowledge of available support systems so that you can successfully function as a liaison between the individual, the agency and the community.

In addition to making certain our individuals are receiving the best care, you will also work as an advocate to safeguard their human and civil rights. 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing, coordinating and monitoring the financial status and money of individuals
  • Pursuing the available avenues to obtain all benefits for which each individual is eligible
  • Developing and maintaining a positive relationship with individuals and their families
  • Assuring continuity of benefits
  • Securing funding for and acquiring durable medical equipment

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
