Job Description

Family Based Mental Health Director

This position reports to and works closely with the Associate Director of Clinical Programming. Responsibilities include assuring the quality of services delivered to clients and fidelity to the Structural Family Therapy model; clinically supervising therapists; completing administrative tasks related to the program; assuring program compliance with regulatory mandates; processing referrals; performing on-site supervisions; sharing back-up on-call responsibilities; communicating with families, therapists, payers, and other service providers.

Family Based Mental Health is a two-city program (Erie, PA and Warren, PA) designed to offer support to families who seek to address children’s’ mental health concerns that interfere with the function and structure of the family.  Goals include preventing out of home placement; preventing hospital admissions; addressing concerns in the school that may result in the need to place a child in an alternate educational setting; supporting families as children return from out of home placement; and supporting families who have multiple children in need of mental health services.

Qualifications for Family Based Mental Health Director:

  • Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, special education or related field
  • 2 years of experience working in the CASSP system in a supervisory capacity
  • Must have previous administrative experience, be detail-oriented and proficient in MS Office
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • DHS and PDE FBI clearances required
