Job Description

Behavior Support Associate – Part Time

Find a rewarding career inspiring children with behavioral health challenges in a school setting.

Work in collaboration with other members of a treatment team to assess behavior while monitoring and implementing individualized treatment plans and at times assist in the development and monitoring of the plan.

Responsibilities of Behavior Support Associate include:

• Implement the student's individual plan and at times assist in the development and monitoring of the plan
• Provide psychosocial and developmental rehabilitative activities as described in an individual plan
• Work in conjunction with behavior specialists, teachers, aides and other treatment team members
• Monitor student movement in settings such as hallways, cafeterias and bus loading
• Provide information and data to teachers and behavior specialists regarding progress or regression with the individualized plan
• Support students regarding appropriate behaviors inside and outside of the classroom
• Assist with planned instructional sessions and recreational activities
• Completing all required documentation for the individual as outlined by funding source regulations and in accordance with procedures and timelines

Qualifications for Behavior Support Associate:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice or related human service field is preferred
• Two years’ experience with a high school diploma
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
• FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
