Job Description

 

Forensic Outpatient Nurse

Support adults with a mental health diagnosis on their pathway to stabilization in a multi-disciplinary team.

Working in an Outpatient Behavioral Health setting, the nurse’s responsibilities include: obtaining medication prior authorizations; collaborating with other service providers; being the primary contact for refill request; coordinating with pharmacies; facilitating contacts during a crisis; delivering patient medication education; thoroughly documenting all activities of the day and assisting the providers with electronic record documentation as needed. Vacation coverage obtaining vitals and checking in and out patients will also be responsibilities of this position.

Qualifications for Forensic Outpatient Nurse
• Must be 18 years of age
• R.N. licensed in the State of PA
• Excellent computer skills
• Experience in electronic health record documentation preferred
• Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle
• Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Clearance and Child Abuse History Clearance
