Largest Donation in All Star Game History Presented

The largest donation in the history of the Erie City vs. County All-Star Baseball Game was presented to the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Foundation on Friday, Nov. 9.  Representatives of the Erie County Baseball Umpires Association presented a check for $12,682.92. The 2012 donation brings the total contribution from all of the games to more than $120,000.

All proceeds will remain in Erie County to benefit the more than 4,200 children and adults with disabilities served by the Barber National Institute.

The 47^th Annual City vs. County All-Star Baseball Game was held on Tuesday, June 26 at Jerry Uht Park.  The County team beat the City by a score of 8 to 7.
