Largest Donation in All Star Game History Presented

The largest donation in the history of the Erie City vs. County All-Star Baseball Game was presented to the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Foundation on Friday, Nov. 9.  Representatives of the Erie County Baseball Umpires Association presented a check for $12,682.92. The 2012 donation brings the total contribution from all of the games to more than $120,000.

All proceeds will remain in Erie County to benefit the more than 4,200 children and adults with disabilities served by the Barber National Institute.

The 47th Annual City vs. County All-Star Baseball Game was held on Tuesday, June 26 at Jerry Uht Park.  The County team beat the City by a score of 8 to 7.
