The outing will proceed as planned. We're keeping a close eye on the weather and will update this page with any changes or important information. Because of forecasted strong winds and rain, the PAR 3 and Putting Green games have been cancelled.

Day Of - Shillelagh Golf Tournament Information

6:30 a.m. Registration Opens/Breakfast/Raffles
7:30 a.m. Morning Tee Time
12 p.m. Lunch/Raffles
1p.m. Afternoon Tee Time
5:30/6 p.m. Dinner and Person of the Year Recogntion

We are excited to announce a new addition – this year the Shillelagh will be the first golf tournament in Erie to showcase an AR-15 Air Cannon at one of the holes on the course. This Air Cannon gives you a chance to launch your own shot 400+ yards!  This specialty item will be included in the tournament’s “green package”, available for $60 per golfer at registration.

Each “green package” includes: 

- 10 basket raffle tickets

- 1 Pot O’ Gold raffle ticket  

- 2 Mulligans  

- 1 Air Cannon shot  

- Entry into the Putting Contest  

You will be able to purchase chances for 50/50, skins, and additional basket raffle tickets at registration, as well as participate in skills games.

Congratulations Michael P. Martin, 2026 Person of the Year

Michael P. Martin, a proud supporter of Barber National Institute and a board member for a number of years, has long been dedicated to strengthening the Erie community. A lifelong Erie resident and father of three daughters, he built a successful career in sales and business ownership, retiring in 2022 after decades as a respected Erie businessman. He has served on numerous boards throughout the region, offering steady leadership and a deep commitment to organizations that support children, adults, and families. He remembers the early years of the Shillelagh Golf Tournament when Tom Casey and others launched the long running and successful event that continues to benefit Barber National Institute today. His enduring support reflects the values that have guided both his professional life and his service to the community.
