Materials Available:

The Barber National Institute Library includes a variety of books and other materials for children and adults. Materials for children include the following: Picture books, young adult books, audiobooks, educational computer games, magazines, and videos.

Our professional collection is highly specialized. Included in this collection are books on disabilities, including:

Books on Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome
Professional Development Videos
Professional Journals

Circulation Policy:

Books and magazines circulate for 2 weeks. Videos circulate for one night.

Who Can Get A Library Card?

Library borrowing privileges are available to staff, students, adults, and families who receive services at the Barber National Institute. Members of the community are also invited to apply for a library card.

The Barber National Institute is committed to providing current and accurate information to assist parents and professionals in meeting the challenges of autism and other developmental disabilities. We are also committed to crediting our sources, and all articles are attributed to the author, website, or other resource. We believe that the dissemination of reliable information is important, and would ask anyone using our original material to provide proper credit.
