The Barber National Institute opens
its doors to the community with a variety
of services and facilities, including:

Terrace Garden Café
Enjoy the ambiance of an outdoor garden
conveniently located
on the ground floor of the Barber
National Institute North
Complex. Serve yourself with selections
for breakfast and lunch, including muffins,
salads, soup, pizza, sandwiches and desserts.
Open Monday-Friday from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Lakefront Restaurant
Windows overlook the bay in this setting at the
bluff on East Avenue. Enjoy soups, sandwiches
and grilled items.
Open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Gift Shop at 100 Barber Place
Shop for unique gifts, including many items handmade by
adults attending Barber National Institute programs.
Selections include floral wreaths, decorative gift
bags and cards and seasonal items.
Open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the lobby
of the Barber National Institute north complex.

Barber National Institute Natatorium
Offers much to the community including approved
Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program, American Red
Cross swim instruction, family swims,
Multiple Sclerosis swim,
Open Exercise, and Saturday pool parties. Pool features a
hydraulic lift floor that provides zero entry and exit to
individuals with physical disabilities. Because of the
special needs of many of our patrons, our pool is kept
at a therapeutic temperature between 88-94 degrees.

Library
The Dr. Gertrude A. Barber National Institute
Library and Media Center is open to the community
Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
The holdings include a wide assortment of
books and audio books for children, as well
as an extensive collection of books, periodicals
and other resources for parents and professionals.
Lending privileges offered free of charge.
