Job Description

As the Operation Supervisor, you will oversee operational aspects of the Intellectual Disabilities Services program and manage assigned program staff at the Bedford location of the Barber National Institute – a multi-company organization in the human service industry.

This management position will oversee the daily operations of the program and will support and adhere to the agency’s mission, vision, and values.  You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and mentoring our staff.

The ideal successful Operation Supervisor should be skilled in self-initiation; record management proficiency; solid problem solving skills and the ability to work well with all members of the Plan Team.

Operation Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and maintains effective working relationships with inter-agency support staff as well as other service agencies, parents and the general public
  • Act as a liaison and/or lead between Barber and Supports Coordination Units, OVR and School Districts, as applicable by program
  • Is knowledgeable of and maintains compliance with all regulatory and programmatic requirements
  • Oversees management of staff vacancies, hiring, training and other employment related mandates
  • Monitors condition of program area and ensures environment is safe and in good condition

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Master's degree or above from an accredited university; A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with 1-year experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities; an Associate's Degree or completion of a 2-year program from a university with 3 years’ experience; Supervisory experience and 10 years’ experience
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements.
