Child Care Teacher’s Assistant – Part-Time

The Child Care Teacher’s Assistant will work with children in the Happy Hearts Preschool, a Keystone STAR 4 program. Responsibilities of the Child Care Teacher’s Assistant include assisting the children in group and individual activities designed to enhance social skills, responsibility, initiative, and other emerging skills. Successful applicants will have a willingness to engage with children at all times, and perform instructional and non-instructional tasks at the direction of the Lead Teacher.

Qualifications for Child Care Teacher’s Assistant – Part-Time:
• High school diploma/equivalent and 30 credit hours from an accredited college/university in an education or human services field
• High school diploma/equivalent with 15 credit hours from an accredited college/university in an educational field and 1 year of experience with children;
• High school diploma/equivalent and 2 years’ experience working with children
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
• PA Dept. of Education FBI clearance required
