Christmas Lights Contest - Contest Conditions

Dig out those Christmas lights from the attic and get creative. Whether you go for a traditional look, love 10-foot inflatables or take the Griswold Family Christmas to heart, all ideas are welcome! Both homes and businesses located in Pennsylvania's Erie, Crawford and Warren counties can participate. Let’s send 2020 out on a bright note!

Details

• As a new fundraiser for the Barber National Institute, a minimum donation of $25 will register a private residence, and a $50 minimum donation will sign up a business or organization location. 
• Registration is open. Your decorations do not need to be up before you register. Homes and businesses must be located in Pennsylvania's Erie, Crawford or Warren counties to enter.
• Within the next business day after registration, we will contact you via email requesting a “night-time” photo of your finished decorations as well as a title to your display.
• Once you register and submit your display photo and title, please allow our team 2 business days to process your entry and upload your photo.
• Please keep your holiday display lit from dusk until at least 9 p.m. each night through the duration of the contest, ending Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.
• Addresses of the entered houses and businesses will be made public for the community to use to drive by all participating lighting displays. 
• After registering, homeowners will provide a “Display Title” to be used instead of your name, as well as the exact address to show the location of your display. Make your front yard special and your house could win big!

Voting

We’re encouraging the community to select the winners by voting for their favorite entries. Online voting will be open from December 12 - January 2. Ask your family, friends and neighbors to vote for your Christmas lights to win!

Prizes

Three winners will be selected in both the home and business categories. Homes could win cash awards and businesses can win great advertising prize packages!

Disclaimers

The contest is a fun, family-friendly event.  As we want to keep the focus on the holiday spirit, inappropriate or derogatory signage, including political statements of any kind, will NOT be permitted in this contest. Your entry will be disqualified and removed from voting.

All participating houses and businesses agree to have photos of the outside of their house/business and address posted and printed publicly. We will never disclose your name in relation to the addresses printed without your prior approval. Instead, you will submit a “House/Business Title.”

The Barber National Institute assumes no responsibility for broken or damaged displays on the homeowner’s property, or any consequences from abnormal traffic patterns.

Votes will be tabulated at the end of the voting period and all results will be final.
