One of the region’s largest and most diverse art exhibits, the Barber National Institute Art Show features the creative works of youth and adult artists across a variety of media. The show is April 5 - 7 & 9. Artwork is selected by a panel of judges for cash prizes for the artists, and a People’s Choice Award is determined by visitors to the show. This year's show illuminates the talent of regional artists during the once-in-a-lifetime event where Erie is in the path of totality for a total solar eclipse.
The 2024 show includes the work of 159 adult artists and 147 youth artists from northwestern Pennsylvania, western New York and northeastern Ohio. There are 235 adult works and 178 youth works.
Visitors can vote for their favorite work in the People's Choice award category.
All works are available for purchase. Your purchase supports local artists and the Dr. Gertrude Barber Foundation.
Official eclipse viewing glasses will be available at the show!
Free and open to the public.
