"Sib-Sessions" are monthly events for children ages 5 to 16 who have a brother or sister with a developmental disability.
Brothers and sisters of individuals with developmental disabilities are sometimes caught between the outside world and the world at home. To help balance life between the two, and to provide a supportive setting for the expression of feelings and the development of new friendships, Family Support Services offers this sibling service. The day includes fun filled activities in arts and crafts, recreational events, sharing time, and lunch! The sessions are offered free of charge and are designed to encourage the expression of feelings and concerns, as well as the positive aspects of having an affected sibling.
Sessions are offered free of charge,
and unless otherwise notified, take
place at the Barber National Institute.
