Elizabeth Lee Black School Mission Statement

Dr. Maureen Barber-Carey, Executive Vice President, with students.

The Elizabeth Lee Black School at the Barber National Institute teaches typical children birth to five years, and children birth to twenty-one with the diagnosis of Autism, Mental Retardation, Mental Health Disorders, or Sensory and Physical disabities. We believe that all children have the right to an education that challenges their capacity to learn utilizing solid behavior analytical approaches and other state-of-the-art educational strategies delivered in a positive, nurturing environment.
