Connecting to the Future:  Information Technology to Improve Care, Enrich Lives

A new wireless infrastructure that will operate throughout the Barber National Institute and encompassing 49 Erie group homes is planned to enhance the quality and continuity of care for more than 200 adult residents.

The new infrastructure will transition paper-based records currently in use with electronic records that will enable staff to share important information about medical issues or behavioral challenges in real-time to more effectively respond to the needs of the adults.

The cost of the project, which includes wireless infrastructure, new hardware, and applications in all homes, is $240,000.  Read more information about this project, or donate now in support of this cutting-edge technology.
