In 2010, the Barber National Institute will mark twenty years of service to the Philadelphia area. We provide a variety of residential options, individualized day services, Lifesharing options and supported employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities living in southeastern Pennsylvania. We are committed to a person-centered approach that encourages every individual to be actively involved in developing his or her personal plan for services while receiving the guidance and support of our qualified caregivers. Our consumers are encouraged and supported to live an active and fulfilling life, exploring new and interesting activities of their choice. Our support teams include direct service professionals, nurses, behavior therapists, supervisors, administrative staff and a primary care physician who coordinates any other services the individual may need. |
